Sometimes, it seems as if there are as many gadgets for book lovers out there as there are books to read! Here are 8 of our favorites.
1. Everyday Innovations Bookmarker, $9.00.
Sure, you could just fold down the corner of your page. Or you could get this multi-purpose bookmark, which includes a pen, sticky notes AND a strap to help keep your book closed.
2. LE® Rechargeable LED Book Light, $8.50.
Even if your days of reading while you hide under the covers are over, maybe now you have a partner you don’t want to disturb who’s sleeping next to you. This book light clips to your book, various other pieces of furniture and can also stand on its own. Plus, it’s rechargeable so you never have to buy batteries.
3. Bed Prism Spectacles, $7.19.
These glasses are actually designed for people who have trouble moving their necks but are the perfect tool for lazy readers too. With these glasses, you’ll be able to rest your head down on a pillow and still read a book on your chest! You can use these for watching TV, too.
4. LiliLite, €129.
Sadly, LiliLite isn’t available until December 2015 – but you can pre-order it now, so add it to your holiday wish list! This bedside lamp/bookmark turns off when you place the book on the peak, and turns on when you take it off again. You can also use it as a bookshelf!
5. Book Dock for iPhone, $54.00.
Even if you don’t read on your iPhone, you can still make it literary with this book-shaped charging dock. Don’t like Pride and Prejudice? The linked Etsy store has several alternatives at varying prices, like Jurassic Park.
6. Kindle Paperwhite, $109.99.
We can’t mention gadgets for book lovers without talking about e-readers – and you can’t go wrong with Amazon’s ever-popular Kindle line. While there are several different versions, the Kindle Paperwhite is affordable and provides an excellent reading experience. Or you can go for some other favorites.
7. 3000 Classic Books, $29.95.
All you have to do is plug this USB drive into your computer and you get access to 3,000 classic books by authors like Charles Dickens and Oscar Wilde. Sure, these are all in the public domain – but it’s way easier to have them on hand on a flash drive instead of hunting for them online.
8. Nap® Massaging Bed Rest, $99.99.
This bed rest lets you lean back and get a massage as you read – but that’s only the beginning. It also has a side pocket to hold your books, a moveable LED light AND a cup holder. What’s not to to love?
